Please find attached a formal proposal #F-012523-2 that answers all your questions on the HBP8187-6. They don't rate these machines by tonnage but by capacity which is 3/16" full-length mild steel or 11 Ga. Stainless. We also offer the HBP8250-6 which is the next heavier rated machine at 1/4" mild steel. Please note there is an NC back gauge option that replaces the standard rack and pinion back gauge and is quoted in the proposal as well. These are beautiful machines with ground-finish nose bars, touchscreen control, and an excellent track record. That PB8187 is a really old mechanical rack-driven standard nose bar power leaf brake with 8' X 3/16" capacity.
We made quite a few in the '70s - 2000 but we now only have the Taiwan equivalent machine Model HSB8187.
The HSB8187 is better in so many ways. I've attached a quote for the HSB8187 Standard and the Box & Pan version HBP8187.
