The No. 24A Straight Bevel Generator is the latest machine for cutting large straight bevel gears by the generating process. It can handle gears up to 35-1/2" pitch diameter 1-1/2" diametral pitch in large or small quantities, and is suitable for roughing as well as finishing. This is a two-tool machine, employing side-cutting tools which operate alternately on opposite sides of the gear tooth being cut.
